Ok, it's working now. My bad, coz I "take ownership" on the wrong user32.dll file. I should go into the en-US folder. Thanks friend.

Hello Admin..
I try all the guide in here but I still see the warning that I my Win 7 is not Genuine after log in. but when I check on on my desktop the water mark is gone. and no activation when i right click "my computer".. what should I do to remove the notification during log in?

ADMIN said...

Go to system32\en-US folder and delete the file "slui.exe.mui"

Anonymous said...

Hi thanks so much for this fix but got a problem. After removing the watermark I now cannot close, minimise or move any window that I bring up. Help!! What do I do??

ADMIN said...

First we have to fix the minimize, close not responding. go ro system32\en-US folder.delete "user32.dll.mui" and rename the file "user32.dll.auxius" into "user32.dll.mui". What version of windows are you running? 32bit or 64?

Anonymous said...

Hi I've renamed the file back to .mui and now have the watermark back. I am running 32 bit ultimate

ADMIN said...

if your running 64bit delete the file "user32.dll.mui" on system32\en-US and sysWOW64\en-US Folder.and rename the file "user32.dll.AUXIUS" into "user32.dll.mui" on both location. if you are using 32bit use the x86 application or x64 if you are using 64bit.

ADMIN said...

Run RemoveWM x86 as admin then open CMD enter "mcbuilder.exe"restart. tell me if it works.if not send me your oroginal "user32.dll.mui" file.

Anonymous said...

Hell it's not worked I'm back to having no control over boxes

Anonymous said...

Works a treat now. Thanks sooo much

Anonymous said...

In step 2 when I go to "*\system32\en-US\" and "*sysWOW64\system32\en-US\" there is no file named user32.dll only a file named user32.dll.mui. I can not change this file. Any ideas?

ADMIN said...

thats the file. "user32.dll.mui"

Anonymous said...

what do you mean in step 2 "Download Take ownership.reg here and add it on the registry." How do I add it to the registry?

ADMIN said...

Click on the word "here" it will to a site where you can download the file(take ownership.reg)

Anonymous said...

i downloaded the take ownership.reg. what do i do with it?

ADMIN said...

Run the file then click "Yes"

Anonymous said...

i see what was happening. when trying to open takeownership.reg it opened in my text editor and it gave it a .txt extension. I changed it back and ran it. thanks no i can proceed with the next steps

Anonymous said...

well i tried finishing and when i ran wmx86 as an admin and clicked remove wt i got an error handling error access denied

Anonymous said...

This is a great step-by-step guide. Thank you.
I do have an issue, though.. I got up to the point where I now have to run AuxiuS (I'm running 64)as an admin, and it gives me this error:

"To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework:
v4.0.30319
Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework."

I'm a super n00b at this, what does this mean and what do I have to do?

ADMIN said...

@error handling error access denied :
You have to follow step 2 as mention.

For those who have .NET Framework issue
visit this site,Download it and install.

Anonymous said...

about your answer to follow step 2 when i mentioned that i got a handle error access denied, i did. however when my user.dll file was not in System32>en-US> but rather just in system32. is that possibly the problem because after the handling error i restarted the computer and the watermark was gone. however it is back again today!

oh well

ADMIN said...

The same file name you notice on system32 is a ".dll" type file, the one i mention is a ".MUI" type of file and they are both different.

Do it manually, rename the "user32.dll.mui" on system32\en-US folder, into "user32.dll.backup"
Copy "user32.dll.mui" from C:\AuxiuS\x86 folder and paste it on en-US folder.

In order to rename the file take the ownership first.once you have pasted it,open CMD as admin and enter "mcbuilder.exe" and restart

Anonymous said...

your instructions say user32.dll not user32.dll.mui. anyway, i did what you said and it is working so far. no watermark.
do i need to undue anything to my user.dll file in system32.

ADMIN said...

Oh yea,sorry;) nope..your ok now..thnx

Anonymous said...

Thanks!!!
Works just fine :)

I like having UAC on as it tells me if a program tries to change some system setting. After I disable it and complete these steps successfully (i.e. removing the genuine message, etc) can I re-enable UAC? I assume I won't need the AuxiuS tool anymore after completing all these steps so do I still need to disable UAC?
Thanks, Rich

ADMIN said...

You can re-enable now your UAC after you completed the steps,it may enhance your security.

PEACE!

Anonymous said...

I have followed all instructions and the watermark has disappeared, but every time my computer boots or restarts the desktop background gets cleared out.

It seems like something from the watermark is still running to clear the background image. Is there any way to disable this behavior?

Thanks!

John said...

I just thought you should know that you're my hero.

Anonymous said...

In step 2 you said : Go to "*\system32\en-US\" and "*sysWOW64\system32\en-US\"

But I think there is no "sysWOW64\system32\en-US" in 64 bits OS.

I think it's just "sysWOW64\en-US".

Do you confirm that ?

Anonymous said...

When I try to delete "slui.exe.mui" it says that "you need

permission to perform this action" "You require permission from

S-1-5-21(and a bunch of numbers) to make changes to this file.

I've performed the steps using the sole admin account on my computer.

Anonymous said...

My Bad, All I need to do was "take ownership" lol, sorry bout that. Everything's fine now, Thank you so much. PEACE! :)

BTW, now that everything is fine, is it ok if I return the UAC to default and delete the Auxius folder on the C: folder?

Alex said...

For those who have problems with the "Take ownership.reg" on the step 2 : when you donwload the "Take ownership.reg" it may add the .txt extension (to open it with wordpad etc ...) You just need to change the file extention from "Take ownership.reg.txt" to "Take ownership.reg" and then you can add to registry by right clicking on the file .reg and it's "merge" or "add to registry" or "sum"

Anonymous said...

I dont understand the 2nd step.
it says '' adding information can unintentionally change or delete values and cause components to stop working '' etc.
do i just click ok?
well I did that and when i went onto computer
it had a red bar under the OS(C:) thing
:(

Anonymous said...

Ok so hopping you can help. I've followed the instructions to the letter and the watermark did go but I lost all control of my windows as a user above did, I then followed your fix instructions to no avail, I now have the watermark back which I may leave as it's no big deal anyway I guess but some advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anonymous said...

As above followed to the letter. Watermark disappears but at the cost of control to windows not closing or minimising. Renamed "user32.dll.AUXIUS" back to "user32.dll.mui" and watermark reappears but do regain control over windows. Would also appreciate help from this point. So close. Would love to send you original 2user32.dll.mui2 file but don't know how. Look fwd to your reply. Thx

ADMIN said...

For those having problem with the window control not responding. send me you user32.dll with the version of OS your running 32bit or 64..
reach me at auxiusxxx@ymail.com

Running into a problem here...

When I download the AuxiuS file from mediafire it is showing as an MSI. When run it puts a 'Windows Genuine.exe' file on the desktop.

Running that file throws up a huge list of errors.

How do I extract it to perform the above detailed instructions?

Wow! Yes I NEEDED this solution! I followed all the directions, step by step, and sure enough.. SUCCESS!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Anonymous said...

I think I've read through this about 8 or 9 times and tried other solutions that people have suggested but I can not get rid of the watermark. the "Build 7061" get removed but it still says that the copy is not genuin. I've been thinking if it has something to do with that I'm running a swedish version of windows, I've tried switching the user32.dll.mui files in "sv-SE" instead of "en-US" but that does not work either.

Any suggestion good sir?

Anonymous said...

Ignore my last post, I was stupid. Thanks a lot for this mate, all the best to you!

Salmerin said...

I've done all the steps posted above and I don't see the watermark anymore but the real problem now is that upon reboot background is completely gone and it takes way too long before the background gets populated with all the icons.

The whole thing is way too slow upon restarting, once online though everything is good to go, is the booting up sequence that takes forever....any ideas how to fix this?

Anonymous said...

The name of my file is 'take ownership.reg' The properties tell me it will open in notepad and it's a txt file. So I don't have any of the above options. What do I change to run it?

cheers

Anonymous said...

Found out how to do it here:

The safe way to install a ".reg" file is as follows:

*

Click on Start and then Run...
*

Type in regedit, and then press OK
*

In regedit, click on File, and then Import
*

Enter the filename or otherwise locate the ".reg" file you want to enter, and press OK
*

The contents of that ".reg" file will be entered into the registry.

It keeps telling me Unable to save permissions.

I go to Windows/System32/en-US/user.dll.mui

Properties
"Security" Tab
"Edit" Button
and then I have a list that looks like this

SYSTEM
Admin
Users
TrustedInstaller

but when I try to change Full Control for ANY of those I gat the Unable to save Permission changes on user32.dll.mui Access Denied

How do I fix this so FRUSTRATING been trying for a week now.

Also I am able to Update my Windows 7 to SP1 do I want to or not?

Anonymous said...

This method here applies only to the English language? Because I my windows is the greek version and there is a user32.dll.mui file also inside folder c:\windows\system32\el-GR\.

I follow exactly the steps above, but the watermark does not disappear. Maybe it's the different language that causes the problen?

Thanks

Everything worked. You're a genius. All Hail! For everybody with minimizing/closing windows problems, I think I`ve solved it. Do everything as above, leave the file user32.dll.AUXIUS and just copy file user.dll.mui from the AUXIUS.rar to the system32 folder. It worked for me, no watermark and no min/closing problems.

Is theere a solutiion for this issue: When I apply RemoveWMx86 to Win7 Ultimate, it removes the watermark, but also disables the upper right hand corner controls of each windows. I can't close, maximize ore hide that window. The keyboard conrols continue to work (Ctrl-F4), but not the X corner controls. running SFC /scannow fixes the controls, but the watermark returns. How can I deal with this?

You get the problems if you save it somewhere else, like on your desktop, and run the tools from there.

So, the path should look like:
C:\AuxiuS
in there you should have the two folders with mui files and the two WM tools.

@MC_NL: Still not working for me... Did exactly as you said. Can't use Windows controls.
Anyway, I resolved the issue by restoring the original user.dll.mui and now the watermark is gone.
So, since it worked, thumbs up!!!

This solution is working fine but still, the wallpaper is black after every reboot, although the watermark is gone. Is there any solution to this problem? Please anyone?

Fantastic you are the man! I am not a computer whizz I had a few problems but searched what other people have asked, Initially the .reg file opened in notepad so I had to copy and paste it into a new text document then save as a .reg file. If you follow this guide step by step and are patient it will work. My first version of Windows was legit but after I needed a new hard drive I could not install my first version so had to resort to this method..

Vayne all you need to do is type themes in the run bar and select your theme :)
